Mooooooooooooo!

Monday was a complete arse of a day so Stu took me to The Sausage, one of my favourite ever places to eat, to cheer me up. As the name suggests they specialise in sausages and mash and it's just absolutely bloody lovely. I had lamb, mint and apricot sausages with champ (mash with chopped spring onions) and Stu had beef and ale sausages served as toad-in-the-hole. Those sausages are SO good. Full of sausagie goodness. Yum.

And speaking of cows, well, beef, thank GOD someone has taken the time to do this invaluable research. Cute little buggers, who knew? And you absolutely have to listen to the audio clip. Outstanding.

Good morning. I can't make the cow link work but is it the cows-mooing-with-accents stuff? Absolutely hilarious - and ridiculous! (If it isn't, that will seem very random! Tis on BBC website) x

Morning deary. I have fixed the link now but yes! Yes it was. Did you listen to the clip? Speechless. If it was April 1st I'd think something suspicious was going on x

Cow dialect is definitely worthy of April 1st. I wonder if the theory can be extended to other farmyard creatures - I'd be interested in a duck and pig project.

Sausages: yum yum yum

I heard that on 5 live this morning. They had this West Country guy saying that the cows reacted and milked better with him than they did with a man with a Northern accent.

"ooo arrr"

That's probably the most amazing thing I have heard today! Thank god there are selfless scientists out there willing to bring us the truth.

Hello again deary, I'll see if I can get the vet interested in a duck and/or pig project...

Ben that's hilarious! We westcountry folk obviously have a way with the bovine ones

I know Barbara, where would we be without such highly trained and insightful researchers? It warms my heart to know that even though times are hard, funding is being spent well.

Funny! I notice we both like doll pictures as art for our pics.
I found you through Will & Ben's records.

LMAO, that audio was great!!
I'm a vegetarian so I won't clap for your dinner choices, but hey, everyone's gotta eat. And you reminded me I have apricots in the cupboard ;)

Will it was VERY good but it didn't so much 'pick me up' as fill me to bursting with meat and potatoes which actually made me pretty sleepy.

Mellowlee I cannot tell you how good those sausages were, you're right to be hungry :)

The Sausage is not really the place to go if you are veggie but they do love their vegetarian customers too and make nice home-made glamorgan sausages with cheese and vegetables - they look pretty good even to a carnivore like me :)
