Lemsip - I LOVE You

I'm dying(ish) of a throat infection. My tongue looks like one of these...

I love the internet, I didn't think for a second I'd actually find a picture of a white strawberry with red spots. I've got some drugs, some good old-fashioned penicillin, so it's all good. Feel better already today actually so I fancy I might faff about with my template a bit more. Watch this space...

***EDIT*** I have faffed with the template from under my duvet and it all looks much tidier thanks to the very elegant template that River designed. Thank you River!!!

***Another edit*** River, or Dogga, or anyone else who knows about these things, I've broken the bit that makes links a different colour - there is a link to River's blog above but it looks the same as the rest of the text :( How do I fix it?

***Me again*** River had already posted very clear and helpful instructions on this subject which I managed to miss completely. I shall fix it anon.

Thanks deary. Ohhhh, ice cream why didn't I think of that? Me and Stu got a tub of Green & Black's vanilla the other day. Just vanilla, nothing else, but good lord it was GOOD.

There's loads of bugs going around at the moment Kees, take it easy and no shouting today.

I think the mild weather isn't helping.

I hope you feel better soon Kees!!! I have been feeling pretty crummy too, but no throat infection *yet..knock on wood*

I had hot chocolate and then lime sherbert for dinner last night. They were both FABULOUS. I highly recommend it for feeling sick cuisine!!

MMmmmm, Chloraspetic throat spray does sound yummy but I think I might try ice-cream first xxx

Ben - would I? I'm not yelling but I am talking a lot. I'm sure Stu thought he'd get a break from my constant drone but no. I think it's because I'm not at work so I'm storing up all the chat for when he gets home. Lucky him. And yes having a temperature in this weather sucks.

I'm off my food Mel so it must be bad! Ice-cream yes, hot chocolate yes if I could be arsed making it, lime sherbert? Really?

I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but drink lots of fluids!!! But not so much that you float away. Feel better.

Did you figure out the link code? I'd post the html here for you, but it'll just link...lol.

Thanks Allison - I am both ignorant AND blind. I went back to River's site and lo - when she originally posted the template she very helpfully posted full instructions on this very matter. But thanks!

Ya the lime sherbert tasted great...maybe because it's so tangy and my taste buds are all out of wack right now. My feet are bloody FREEZING! I think I should go back to bed, but I am sucked into the interNETS!!! The template is looking gooood!

Kees,
How appropiate that the following blog got a mention in today's paper.

http://adoptamicrobe.blogspot.com/index.html.

I know you've got a thing about furry-microbe stuffed toys
and now you're growing your own culture!!
Get well soon:-)
Love Pa

I'm with Anna and the ice cream. Mind you ice cream would be my cure of choice for anything!

By the way your template is totally cool.

Aw thanks Mel. Ok well maybe I'll think about some lime-flavoured food stuffs but I'm still not convinced. I'm just not really eating anything.

Thanks River I love it. It'd be nice if I was half the creative genius you are but I'm enjoying messing with it. Blogger won't let me comment on your site at the moment, grrrrr, but WOW that bloke's painting is shockingly good.

Hi Pa! That blog is ace! Cute little devils. But NOT as cute as the stuffed furry-microbes.
I'm not growing my own culture anymore - penicillin is slowly killing the little bastards. But thanks! xx

Thanks Barb, still not got my appetite back which is irking me greatly but throat not as painful and tongue no longer as creepy-looking.

Toccata I'm with you on the ice-cream but I just don't fancy it at the moment! It's terrible! Stu went and got me some last night but they didn't have my favourite stuff so he got own-brand vanilla. I can't live like this.

I am sure you don't need me to tell you that editing your template is not resting and taking care of your infection!
ha..
Hope you feel better soon..I just had the worst one of my life.

Oh yes, and to Anna's comments..I had a box of no name fudgesicles - and I literally believe they have medicinal qualities. They were the only thing that made me feel better at times. 1 per day.

Sometimes when I have a strawberry throat I need something that scratches the hell out of it. Salt and vinegar potato chips make you feel like you've had a good vigorous throat scratching.

Feel better for the weekend!

Eeeeeer, dunno Kees. Hope you're feeling better!

Aw thanks for the excellent advice Dr Jacquie - never had a fudgesicle before but I love me some fudge and a ice lolly so sounds like a winning combination.

Throat scratching you say Barb? Interesting. Had some popcorn last night, that was quite scratchy.

It's ok now thanks Dogga, all fixed - both links and throat :D
